"Climatic change and the rocky shore"
Speaker: Dr Angus Jackson – ERI
Dr Angus Jackson is a research fellow and marine ecologist at ERI, with particular interest in how climatic change and human developments influence interactions between organisms and their environment.
In this seminar, Angus will review some of the most recent expectations about how our climate will change. These changes will not only affect humans through risk of flooding and changes to agriculture, fisheries and tourism, but will also have major influences on our wildlife. Shifting geographical distributions have been studied extensively, but other ecologically important changes are only now becoming apparent. Angus will illustrate some of these changes using some recent research from the UK and Australia.
Accompanied by wine and nibbles….. All welcome !!
