ERI Seminar - Egypt and the Total Solar Eclipse of 2006

Total eclipses of the sun are amongst the most spectacular of natural phenomena visible on earth. In this illustrated talk Dr. Eric Grist (of the ERI) traverses Egypt to see the total solar eclipse near the border with Libya in March 2006. On route he considers the astronomical background and attempts to unravel some of the ancient as well as modern history.
